    Connect America is currently seeking 1st party Collections Specialists to join our team to provide a high-level of customer service to exisiting customers. We offer WEEKLY pay including a base  hourly rate plus a luctrative bonus structure to equal between $40,000 and $50,000+ annually. 

     

    Purpose

     

    The purpose of the Collections Specialist role is to collect outstanding balances from our customers, communicating with them directly by telephone.  In the process of performing that role you will research questions from inbound and outbound callers and solve payment discrepancies in a positive manner. 

     

    Start Date: March 11th

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Contact active/inactive clients on delinquent payments
    • Collect on aging buckets from current to over 181+ days past due
    • Process payments and record detailed payment arrangements
    • Process and review account adjustments and resolve client discrepancies
    • Communicate and follow-up with department manager on a timely basis
    • Meet weekly assigned goals
    • Perform other assigned duties necessary to support the Collections Department

    Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • High School Diploma (or GED) required, college degree a plus
    • Knowledge of debt collection is an asset
    • Interest in, and strong math ability
    • Understanding of and ability to explain financial matters clearly
    • Patience dealing with customers
    • Strong telephone communication/verbal skills with ability to communicate in a professional, positive manner
    • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
    • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
    • Ability to represent company in a positive light
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
