    Purpose:

     

    Contact customers by phone to collect open/outstanding balances, research questions from inbound/outbound customer calls, and solve payment discrepancies. Provide exceptional service in regard to product questions, returns, and exchanges.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Contact active/inactive clients on delinquent payments
    • Collect on aging buckets from current to over 181+ days past due
    • Process payments and record detailed payment arrangements
    • Provide high quality customer service regarding collection issues
    • Process and review account adjustments and resolve client discrepancies
    • Communicate and follow-up with department manager on a timely basis
    • Meet monthly assigned goals
    • Perform other assigned duties necessary to support the Collections Department

    Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Scheduled Hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Good knowledge of debt collections, math and Microsoft Office (excel, Word, etc.)
    • High level customer service skills
    • Ability to explain financial matters firmly and clearly, use good negotiating skills, and communicate in a professional, tactful manner.
    • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
    • Ability to set goals and meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time while ensuring accuracy of work
    • Understand quality standards for work
    • Ability to represent company in a positive light
    • Must successfully pass drug and criminal background checks
